As the founding partner of RedCompass, Tom has many years of experience working at board level with banks and financial technology companies, directing major change initiatives in the payments and corporate investment banking integration domains. Specialising in structuring transformation programmes, Tom strongly advocates that the delivery of high quality change projects comes from a coherent strategy, clear and straightforward communications with senior stakeholders, and the support of a small team of experienced, highly competent and committed individuals.
Tom is also a keen cyclist and enjoys the challenge of climbing Tour de France cols in the Alps.
Ed co-founded RedCompass, building a strong capability and reputation for successful programme delivery amongst our clients. Known for safely navigating challenging projects, Ed has been requested by client senior executives to recover failing high profile systems initiatives as well as lead flagship business transformation programmes across EMEA, notably establishing a new banking system in Istanbul and forming a new EU bank.
Outside work, Ed enjoys sailing yachts around the coast and racing dinghys.
Jonathan joined RedCompass as a Senior Partner in 2017 bringing a history of large programme delivery encompassing big data, activity-based management and real-time risk profiling. Experienced across the front, middle and back office in trading, settlements and risk, he brings particular expertise to the fight against financial crime by applying the latest technologies and approaches to inject pace into business decision-making. Building high performing teams, Jonathan enjoys working with executive level clients to implement business and technology change roadmaps.
Away from the office, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family and trying to keep up with his growing children.
Chris has over 20 years’ experience in consulting, and has built a successful track record of delivering complex transformation programmes and developing IT operating models. He has considerable experience of IT strategy and project delivery work with executive and board-level management and is known for delivering innovative but pragmatic solutions. He has led geographically and culturally diverse teams across Europe, Asia and the Americas spanning Financial Services and Oil & Gas Industries, Chris joined RedCompass in 2017.
Away from the office, Chris is an enthusiastic golfer and can often be found at the weekend hunting down a little white ball!
Gopal brings many years of programme and project management experience to RedCompass from his broad background, spanning many industries – notably financial services and telecoms. Gopal’s incisive approach to problem solving and solution design adds yet more strength to RedCompass’ trademark services, building a strong reputation for delivery excellence amongst our payments clients.
Gopal enjoys travelling, trekking and being out in nature, as well as playing football with friends and kids.
Kusum joined RedCompass to grow RedCompass’ Payments Practice, bringing to bear over fifteen years of operational experience with leading banks such as Morgan Stanley. Her detailed cash management and sanctions screening knowledge, and get-it-done approach, have been essential skills needed in such roles as global lead for cash management and payments expertise across change programmes.
In contrast to her professional life, Kusum enjoys writing poetry.
Michael is a change professional with over 18 years’ experience delivering complex multi-million dollar global IT and business programmes, implementing major system changes, working with digital banking platforms and managing cross functional delivery teams for global banks and financial services companies. Michael has a focus on detail, both in understanding the client’s needs and then delivering to time, budget and quality.
Michael is a keen rugby supporter and travels to matches whenever possible.
Simon brings a concentrated drive towards timely and cost-effective delivery of IT projects to RedCompass’ clients, focusing on maximising the business benefit. He has eighteen years of consulting experience span software delivery, project management and leadership of solution and analysis teams. In recent years, Simon has applied his analytical approach across a breadth of payments projects giving him a strong understanding of the settlement domain.
Simon is a Classic yachting enthusiast and enjoys sailing around the East Coast.
Harry is a capable finance professional with over 10 years’ experience working in challenging dynamic environments in investment banking and investment management roles. He has particular expertise in relationship management, negotiation and technical analysis with a successful track record of building strong collaborative working relationships with clients, internal stakeholders and other external parties.
Harry was the silver medal winner in the 2014 West Kent Conker Championship and is nicknamed ‘The Conkerer’.
Tom has a broad financial services background from a career starting in banking operations, through business analysis to project and programme management in IT. Tom is a clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills in diverse cultural environments. Like all RedCompass consultants, he is a results-driven team player able to calmly ensure change objectives are met in demanding client organisations.
Tom has a strong interest in e-learning, training and enabling business for change initiatives.
Sachin is a senior RedCompass payments subject matter expert. With extensive payments knowledge across SEPA and UK Low Value payment schemes, Sachin is a driving force for RedCompass’ Payments Practice supporting transformation and regulatory change activities. Sachin is a safe pair of hands on RedCompass projects, bringing the in-depth functional analysis, design, test and integration capabilities necessary for successful hi-quality delivery.
Away from payments, Sachin enjoys playing golf with friends.
Dave has over fourteen years of consulting experience, including waterfall, agile and RUP software development, delivery and project management. Focusing on large-scale payment platform projects, David’s technical understanding and analytical nature ensures that estimates, designs, and third-party solutions are soundly reviewed, and that delivery fully meets customer requirements. Dave is currently developing RedCompass test products.
Away from work, Dave plays football, badminton and enjoys a little Karaoke.
Rob brings specialist experience in transformation, integration and infrastructure programmes. His style is detailed and organised, providing accurate, specific clear communications. Rob has a hands-on working style, preferring to communicate directly with teams and individuals to ensure there is clarity and accountability in meeting deadlines and deliverables. He is always driving out risk by addressing open issues and creating clarity.
Rob is a keen cyclist and runner, currently training for a triathlon this year and enjoying mountain biking in South Africa.
Peter is a senior change professional with over 20 years’ experience of leading projects and portfolios of complex IT service delivery and change/transformation of up to $30m. He has an open, honest approach, and is quick to build collaborative relationships. Peter has a track record of delivering strategic projects in a structured manner in dynamic business environments involving the optimisation of people, processes and technology.
Peter regularly competes in blindfold origami competitions across the UK.
Steve is driven, delivery focused project manager with a passion for leading change and providing added value to his customers. He has an in-depth knowledge of financial services related trading platforms, KYC and regulatory based systems and has worked as both a systems and business change manager. He has a strong international background speaking multiple languages and has worked and studied across Europe.
Steve enjoys spending his spare time with his young family.
Chris is a highly experienced test manager with extensive knowledge of testing principles across full life-cycle payments testing. He brings a well organised and structured approach to all his client engagements leading to reliably executed test phases and assurance of quality. Augmenting or working with existing test teams, Chris creates high performing teams to meet challenging project deadlines.
Chris enjoys walking up the highest mountain peaks of the UK and is preparing to take on Europe’s challenges.
Maki has an in-depth understanding of end-to-end banking operations coming from 10 years working in operations as a senior business analyst and project manager. She brings considerable expertise to projects, including requirements elicitation, process modelling, target operating model design, support of systems build, migration and implementation, establishing standard procedures, operational risk and loans.
In her spare time, Maki enjoys spending time with her family.
Merve has a broad background in business analysis and testing across many aspects of banking, delivering upgrade projects for accounting systems, internet banking, ATM channels, sanctions, anti-money laundering, payments (settlements and cards) and core banking platforms. She brings strong subject matter expertise to bear in her analytical roles and recently worked on a flagship project to establish a new bank in Istanbul.
In her spare time, Merve enjoys travelling and spending time with friends.
Scott is an experienced and adaptable senior test analyst with a rich background in payments processing, spanning CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments, RTGS, International & Euro (SEPA, EBA, TARGET), Multicash and EBICS. With his strong scheme knowledge, Scott brings great insight into testing the right aspects of payments platforms to assure high quality output to the client, covering analysis, design, execution, defect management and reporting.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys long distance endurance walks.
Shoko brings end-to-end knowledge of how and why banking systems work to RedCompass’ clients. Her experience as both a systems and a business analyst gives great insight when it comes to designing, implementing, and testing banking systems. She has strong subject matter expertise in Euro and UK payment schemes and is a strong contributor to the RedCompass Payments Practice.
Outside work, Shoko enjoys spending time with her family.
Vikas is a senior Business Analyst specialising in business processes re-engineering, data modelling and requirements capture through business object oriented methodologies. He has broad domain expertise in Payments, spanning UK domestic schemes, SEPA, internet banking, international cash management, fraud monitoring and asset protection. Vikas also draws on over 15 years of software development, enabling him to be effective in highly technical client engagements.
Vikas enjoys all things cricket and teaching mathematics to willing pupils.
With a background in bookkeeping and back-office administration, Yuko brings a wealth of experience to RedCompass from working in large and small organisations, spanning banking, pensions and health. Yuko supports RedCompass financial administration and bookkeeping.
Outside of work, Yuko is involved in running her local tennis club.
Marion has managed RedCompass’ finances and HR since the company’s beginning and has been a key contributor to its growth and smooth running over many years. Marion also looks after procurement and tax matters, as well supporting staff onboarding and helping establish RedCompass employees and associates alike.
Outside of RedCompass, Marion is a keen baker and dessert maker.
