Payments Platform Transformation

RedCompass was invited by a Tier 1 Japanese Bank to lead a transformation programme to implement a new strategic payments platform for its EMEA business using Open Payment Framework (OPF) from Clear2Pay/FIS.

Over a three-year period of highly interdependent parallel projects to reduce the transition phase, RedCompass managed both the business and systems side changes necessary to replace a number of legacy low value payments systems with the consolidated platform, spanning:

  • SEPA Credit Transfer
  • SEPA Direct Debit
  • UK Faster Payments
  • BACS

Following the successful migration of the bank’s European branches to the new platform, RedCompass led a number of OPF upgrade projects for:

  • Non-functional enhancements
  • Management of the migration end-date for SEPA
  • Annual SEPA rulebook upgrades
